Know your Timeframe when Buying a Home!

September 7, 2021

If you are looking to purchase a home, this is for you. Knowing how soon you want or need to buy and move into your home will determine your timeframe for buying a home.

What Can Affect Your Moving Timeframe?

Are you just thinking about moving? Have a house to sell? Already sold and closed and about to be homeless? Only want new construction and are willing to wait? All of these scenarios affect your moving timeframe and also what home and communities you can consider when looking.

In a rush?

If you need a home right away, you will be looking for resales and possibly “new” Builder spec homes.

Home to sell?

Consider a new construction home giving you plenty of time to sell your home.

Want a new construction home?

Take into consideration when to list your home for sale based on when your chosen builder will have your new home ready to live in. Each community is different.

Some communities only have resales, some only new construction, some a combination of both. One of my most popular communities has an over 500 person waitlist and a 24-month wait to close and occupy a new home.

By knowing your timeframe and/or being flexible you will help your Real Estate professional help you find the best home/communities for your situation.
